Requirements
International students can enter at various stages of the program, either for the full two years, one year or a single semester.
Entering at the Master 1 level (M1) requires at least a 3-year university degree (and 120 ECTS or equivalent) in Earth Sciences or Physical Geography. Application from students with Bachelor in Natural Sciences, Physics or Chemistry can also be considered after discussion with the STPE pedagogical team. Incoming exchanges during the second semester (S2) by students of the CIVIS network are particularly encouraged.
Entering at the Master 2 level (M2) requires 4 years of undergraduate/master education (European M1 or equivalent), with a background in Earth Sciences or Physical Geography. Students from the US or Canada with a 4-year Bachelor degree in these fields can also apply for direct admission to M2.
The courses will be take place in English, so fluency is mandatory.

Application procedure
The International Master Program (IMG) will be listed as a choice under the wider STPE (Sciences de la Terre et des Planètes, Environnement) Master program in most information and application websites.
The application procedure and platforms are different for EU and non-EU students.
EU students
European Union students can use the following platforms :
- entering at the M1 level : Mon Master nationwide application service
- entering at the M2 level : e-candidat application service (English version available).
For an incoming mobility during the second semester of M1 contact directly the pedagogical team.
Non-EU students
Non-European students enrolling for the first time in a university program in France should use the Études en France web site to submit their application.
